Two Leaves

He looks up at the sky and smiles, it’s a beautiful day. The sun hangs high in the air, and the most perfect white clouds roll lazily across the skyline. A gentle wind blows past, and out of the corner of his eye, he sees two leaves floating down from a branch of the tree he’s sitting besides. They are carried by the wind, spinning around in a dance, weaving around and over each other, until they gently land on the ground.
Chuckling slightly, he thinks to himself, “I hope that’s a good omen.” Immediately after that, he hears someone coming towards him. Nervousness creeps slowly through his very soul, it’s her, there’s no turning

LucidityAnother night, and once again Christopher woke up feeling saddened and disappointed. For almost a year now, he had tried to master the concept, no, the art, of lucid dreaming. The idea that he could manipulate his dreams into anything he wished seemed too cool to pass up. But every night, true lucidity escaped him. Like every other night in which he woke up early, Christopher grabbed his dream journal and jotted down every single detail of the dream he had just had; he hoped that by writing gown his dreams, he would be able to recognize that he was dreaming without immediately waking up.
